From the early
80's, Bully has been a soul boy. His love and passion for the
music is highlighted when he presents on his radio show, but ask him to
remember the track and you've pretty much stuffed him in one! His memory is fading fast,
quicker than his hairline! But he does just about
remember the Gold
Mine on Canvey Island, Essex, through to Lacy's (Lacy Lady's) at
King's in Ilford and even the likes of Zero 6 in Southend On Sea,
The Windmill - East Hanningfield and regular Tuesday nights at a local pub
in Hockley, all 'doing soul music' (Bully's words not ours).

becoming a small time soul promoter by arranging soul nights at a local
football club (sold out with over 100!) back in the day, but he gave up because it was
"to much hard bloody work" he still continued to drive forward with his
dj and radio career and actually remembered what it was all about and why
he loves the music...To much snake bite in the

Bully began presenting a main
stream soul /
retro disco show on Phoenix FM based in Essex, UK up against 90% of the rest of the team who
where listening to indie, pop and rock music, but with his persuasive
talent to smile, shout, shout a bit more and then smile again, made the
basis of true local soul music programme in Essex. Bully's Boogie Box passed
the main stream phase to now fast becoming a soul radio show for the
connoisseur and soul lovers alike, with
the help of his guests and friends involved with the soul scene. Bully
has since moved on from Phoenix FM and was invited to join one of Europe's
leading soul stations on Sky Digital, final arrangements are being made
and more news will become available soon.

Bully has been involved
with radio for nearly 20 years working with DMG, SKY, Independent
commercial radio and various RSL broadcasts as well as responsible for numerous management
role positions and is a key figure within a small team, that launched of a full
time radio station based in Essex. |
