Jay has been a soul boy ever since Curtis Mayfield changed his life with 'Move on up'.....

Jay still remembers 'bunking' the rest of the day off music college to go out and buy his greatest hits, and he has never dared to look back since.

Jay has been fortunate enough to have have DJ'd venues such as The Rex Bar (Leicester Sq), and also places like Soprano's (Kensington).

He still produces soul music, and that's how he came into contact with Bully's Boogie Box, As bass player of Jazz Funk Essex based band 'Sentivo', Jay was invited with the other band members to come in on Bully's Boogie Box for a interview, Jay's knowledge and passion for soul music helped the interviewing process when Bully approached him to co-present on Bully's soul show.

During Jay's career has played with Shola Ama, numerous members of Jamiroquai, supported Finley Quay, and has hung out with Roy Ayers. Jay has also been privileged to appear at a host of legendary venues inc. Ronnie Scotts, Jazz Cafe, Dingwalls, Momo's, Tokyo Joes, 100 club, CC club, 10 rooms

Jay is currently enjoying himself immensely, keeping the soul flame strong across Europe.

Check Bully's Boogie Box  if you wanna 'bring back that feelin, that feelin, that's been gone, for way too long.....'
